Free toolMeta Graph API version checker
Paste your app or server code and dependency files to see which Graph API and Marketing API versions they call and when each ends. Marketing API v24.0 ends November 10, 2026 per Meta’s Marketing API changelog, and Graph API v21.0 ends January 21, 2027. The check runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Free, no sign-up. Dates checked October 22, 2026.

Paste several files one after another if you like. Commented-out lines are ignored.

What it checks
It looks for a version in request paths (graph.facebook.com/v21.0/ and the web login dialog), in setVersion, overrideVersionPartWith, FB.init and api_version, and for calls with no version. Each version is classified on its own. A path that targets act_ ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets or ad creatives, or an api_version setting, gets the Marketing API dates. Everything else, including plain insights paths, gets the Graph API dates. A version set by a variable is flagged for you to look up.

Marketing API, where Meta’s pages disagree
| Version | Graph API changelog | Marketing API changelog |
|---|---|---|

| v24.0 | October 6, 2026 | November 10, 2026 |
I found no page that explains why the two differ. The Marketing API is the one dedicated to that API, so I treat its changelog as the page to watch and base the status on it. Meta can change a date, so open the changelog before you plan around it.
What happens after the date
- Graph API: Meta’s versioning guide says calls to a version that is no longer usable are defaulted to the next oldest, usable version.
- Marketing API: calls to an unavailable version may fail or be upgraded, and only endpoints the next version does not change are upgraded. Calls with no version are invalid and fail.
- No version in a Graph call: it uses the version set in the App Dashboard.
- Facebook SDKs: each release is tied to the Graph API version available on its release date. The tool only notes which SDK packages it sees. It does not guess your version.
What this tool can’t see
It reads only the text you paste. It can’t see the version set in your App Dashboard, the Facebook SDK version your build resolves, or calls made by tools and servers you didn’t paste. A clean result means no match in the text, not that your app is safe.
Shipping to the stores too? The free Google Play deadline checker reads your Gradle files for the target API, 16 KB and Billing Library dates, and the Firebase shutdown checker covers retired Firebase products.
Questions
- Are my files sent anywhere?
- No. The check runs in your browser with JavaScript, and what you paste never leaves the page. Only an anonymous count of matches is recorded for usage statistics.
- Which Graph API versions expire next?
- Meta’s Graph API changelog lists v20.0 as available until September 24, 2026, which has passed, then v21.0 on January 21, 2027, v22.0 on May 20, 2027 and v23.0 on October 8, 2027. v24.0 is listed until February 18, 2028 and v25.0 until July 29, 2028. v26.0 is the latest, with Available Until shown as TBD.
- What happens when a Graph API version expires?
- Meta’s versioning guide says that once a version is no longer usable, any calls made to it will be defaulted to the next oldest, usable version. So a call is not described as failing outright, but it then runs against a different version with whatever changed in between. Test before the date instead of finding out in production.
- Why does the tool treat some calls as Marketing API?
- The Marketing API has its own, shorter schedule. The tool applies it to a version when its own path targets act_ ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets or ad creatives, or when it is an api_version setting. Meta says Marketing API calls to an unavailable version may fail or be upgraded, and that calls with no version are invalid and fail.
- Why do you show two dates for Marketing API v24.0?
- Two Meta pages disagree. The Marketing API changelog says v24.0 is available until November 10, 2026, and the Graph API changelog says October 6, 2026. I could not reconcile them, so I treat the Marketing API changelog as the page to watch and show both.
- Why does a call with no version get flagged?
- An unversioned Graph API call uses the version set in the App Dashboard under Settings > Advanced, so a dashboard change can move your app without a code release. For the Marketing API, Meta says an unversioned call is invalid and fails. Meta recommends always specifying the version.
- If the checker finds nothing, is my app safe?
- Not necessarily. It reads only the text you paste. It can’t see the App Dashboard version, the Facebook SDK version your build resolves, or calls from tools you didn’t paste. Meta says each SDK release is tied to the Graph API version available on its release date, so read the SDK version in your build files after a clean install.
