South Florida

Software Development Company in South Florida

App369 is a software development company based in Miami. We build mobile apps, web apps, backends and APIs, AI features, CRMs and Stripe payments for businesses in all three South Florida counties: Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. The work is remote and in writing, at the same fixed prices we charge everywhere, with no meetings in person.

South Florida here means the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro area. The federal Office of Management and Budget defines it as these three counties, home to about 6.4 million people in the Census Bureau's 2025 estimate (via FRED (opens in a new tab)). Elsewhere in Florida (Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee and beyond) we work the same way, with the same process and prices.

Good to know

Florida Rules Worth Knowing Before You Build

Not legal advice; confirm with a Florida attorney. These two statutes come up most when a Florida app stores customer data.

Florida Information Protection Act (s. 501.171)

If your app stores personal information about Florida residents (for example a name with a card number, health data, biometric or geolocation data, or an email with a password) and it is breached, you must notify affected residents no later than 30 days after the breach is determined or reasonably suspected. Breaches affecting 500 or more Floridians must also be reported to the Department of Legal Affairs within 30 days. Encrypted data is excluded, which is one more reason to encrypt at rest.

Florida Statutes s. 501.171

Florida Digital Bill of Rights (s. 501.701 and following)

Florida's consumer privacy law applies to "controllers" with more than $1 billion in global annual revenue that also meet one more test (such as earning half their revenue from online ads, or running a large app store or smart-speaker service). Most small and mid-sized Florida businesses are outside it, but their app may still need to meet the privacy rules of other states where their users live.

Questions

Questions Florida Businesses Ask

Which counties and cities count as South Florida?

Usually Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, the three counties of the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro area. That covers Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach and the towns between them. App369 is based in Miami and works with businesses in all three counties remotely, at the same fixed prices.

Do I need a Florida-based app developer?

Not necessarily. Most of the work happens remotely either way. A Florida developer helps when you want to share a time zone (we work 9am to 6pm Eastern, Monday to Friday), or want someone who already knows Florida rules such as the breach-notification deadline above.

How much does it cost to build an app in Florida?

It depends on scope far more than location. Our app cost calculator gives a range with every assumption listed, and our fee structure page shows our published prices. After you send a brief, we reply with a quote by milestone.

How long does an app take to build?

Most MVPs take about 6 to 12 weeks depending on scope; you get a timeline after the brief. Larger products with payments, admin tools and integrations take longer.

Do you work with businesses outside South Florida?

Yes. App369 works remotely from Miami, so a business in South Florida, elsewhere in Florida or anywhere in the US gets the same process: written updates and shared progress builds instead of meetings.

Can I call you?

We work by email so every decision is written down. If you want to talk live, consultations are $100 per 15 minutes, paid upfront, and you can book one on our consultations page.

  • “Simon has lived up to his bio and then some. This has been a large piece of work with unique, complex and new components for both of us and he has navigated the entire build with persistence, professionalism and ingenuity. He has delivered on what was agreed on the back and front end, kept in constant communication and focused on the deadline. I put in place a reasonably structured communication and delivery model, so I felt the deliverable & expectations were clear, and I was holding up my end of the bargain, and Simon then met these expectations and more by holding up his.”
